Paralegal/Admin. Assistant in Augusta
Part-time (24 hour-3 days/wk), Contract to Hire opportunity! Position acts to assist Attorney with wills, trusts, probate and estate matters, real estate transactions, closings, corporate formation, small business matters, including evictions, as well as administrative law matters. Employee prepares, proofreads and finalizes documents for client signature; organizes client documents and files (both paper and electronic). This position communicate directly with clients, beneficiaries, trustees, attorneys and others by phone, e-mail, and formal written correspondence. With oversight from attorneys, the paralegal will draft and file petitions and pleadings as needed.

Legal experience is preferred, but client will consider candidates with strong administrative experience. Knowledge of probate, real estate and/or corporate is preferred, although other legal experience and education will be considered • Proficient typist and experienced in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook. • Must have the aptitude and ability to learn client computer systems • Ability to multi task, prioritize, and efficiently handle a high volume workload • Must be an organized and diligent worker able to work cohesively with others • Must have strong communication skills • Must have a high attention to detail; HS Diploma or equivalent • 2 good employment references
