Student Financial Services Specialist in Waldo County
FT, Contract to Hire opportunity. Monday through Friday, 8 - 4:30. Position works directly with students, to support them in managing their financial needs and requirements, utilizing student financial aid programs, information systems and billing software; will also report and retrieve information for program management and reports.

Essential functions:

Monitor program compliance
Conduct student aid reviews, including: needs analysis, budgeting, billing, packaging, verification, loan processing, certification and tracking.
Counsel students individually or in groups re: application procedures, borrowing, employment, outside aid, other funding, payment plans and payment options.
Communicate with parents and/or students regarding billing process and payment options
Other tasks specific to the financial services department

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of job related experience (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered); basic knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs; and basic knowledge of accounting and billing services.
