Bangor Area Staffing is recruiting for a full-time Controller. This position is for our well established client who offers great benefits such as 401(k), Health Insurance, Bonuses, Vacation and Holiday Pay.
Put your accounting expertise to work performing the following duties to include but not limited to: perform/oversee all required accounting functions, manage month-end financial statement close process including account and financial statement reconciliation, monitor internal processes to develop efficiencies, manage accounting staff and functions, including A/P, JC, PR, PM, A/R, work with external CPA's to prepare annual tax return and reports. You will help develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures and processes, assist with coaching and mentoring staff to complete their duties in compliance with all policies, procedures, processes and standard.
Candidates must be available for outside normal business hours on occasion and valid driver's license and reliable transportation for outside meetings when required.
Qualifications include: minimum 5 years managing an accounting department, strong background in construction accounting, including job costing experience and work in progress reporting. Accounting degree required. Experience with Sage Construction and Real Estate software and knowledge of paperless processing preferred. Must have understanding of applicable laws and accounting regulations that impact the construction industry, strong communication skills, and ability to work well with a variety of personalities, and a team player.
