Description
CASS is seeking a Catering Assistant Cook for our client. This position supports catered meals and concessions by assisting in the preparing, set-up and clean-up at catered meals, events and concessions. Will also manage Point of Sale system; swiping ID cards and collecting monies. Assist in cooking and plating menu items, set up of displays and presentations, place orders with vendors and occasionally direct other staff.

This is a year-round, part-time, 20 hours a week. A flexible schedule including daytime, evening, weekend shifts, and special events. Working extended hours required as needed. Will go permanent once probationary requirements met.
Requirements
Candidates must have high school diploma and either two (2) or more years of experience in food service or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Cook/Lead Supervisor – Dining Services in Unity, ME
Description
CASS is seeking candidates for a Cook/Lead Supervisor for our client. This positions oversees the point of sale system, sanitation, and inventory, as well as assists with food and beverage preparation, and directs student employees while on duty. Some duties to include: preparing food, supervise/train student staff, assist with keeping kitchen and dining area clean, ensures proper food handling and assist with inventory of products.

Great part-time position with a flexible/rotating schedule to include daytime, night, and weekend shifts. Pay is $11 an hour for this is 38 week (school year position) that will go perm after probationary requirements are met.
Requirements

CASS is seeking a Prep Cook who will be preparing and cooking menu items for staff and visitors. Duties to include but not limited to:

Responsible for preparation of food while on duty and with advance preparation of food for next shift as needed.
Prepares ingredients for menu items and cooks food according to recipes.
Assists in inventory of food and beverage as directed.
Occasionally manages point of sale system, including swiping ID cards, collecting money from customers.
Occasionally responsible for washing dishes and pots.
Demonstrates compliance with rules and regulations pertaining to the Maine State Liquor Laws.
Demonstrates compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.

Additional Information:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to use the computer and telephone for internal and external communications.

The Sous Chef will manage all aspects of kitchen operation while preparing ingredients and meals according to recipes. Assist in planning menus, ensuring safe, efficient, healthy, and sustainable food preparation and serving.
