Automotive Service Desk Position in Bangor, ME 04401
Bangor, ME – Bangor Area Staffing is recruiting for a local automotive center an Automotive Service Desk Person. Be part of a small local team that delivers quality service. Duties to include but not limited to: Greet customers in a friendly, prompt and courteous manner, obtain repair information by listening carefully to customer concerns, and review issues with Automotive Tech to prepare an accurate estimate for customer. Verify final invoice and process payments.

This is a full-time position.
To be considered, candidates must be customer oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills, and works well as part of a team. Must have clerical skills (data entry, filing, basic math skills, etc.) basic computer skills, and a high attention to detail.

Automotive Service Desk or Parts experience a plus yet our client is willing to train the right mechanically inclined candidate. Must have a valid driver's license and pass background test and drug screen

High school graduate or equivalent

Provide two good work references.

The typical schedule for the Automotive Technician is: Mon-Fri 7:30 am to 5 pm, Every other Saturday 7:30-12:30 pm (when work Saturday, get an afternoon off during week)

To be considered, applicants should have:
3-5 years’ experience as an Automotive Technician – Mechanic
Maine State Inspection License
Own tools in good working order
Understand computer based information systems
Valid and Clean Driver’s License
Must be able to work in a team environment to ensure customers satisfaction
High attention to detail
Must be able to understand and comply with company safety standards
Qualified Automotive Technician – Mechanic candidates must pass substance screening process, criminal search and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
